چکیده

In this deliverable, we report on our work within WP6, which is devoted to testing the proposed SOCS models for individual computees and societies of computees, and their implementation. To this purpose, work-package WP6 aims at testing the models defined in WP1, WP2 and WP3, by exploiting PROSOCS, the outcome of WP4. As a by-product, this work is also a test of PROSOCS. This task has been addressed by animating PROSOCS (and its components, namely SOCSiC and SOCS-SI) with computees and their societies, and experimenting with existing scenarios identified in the first two phases of the project. A demo will be given at the next review meeting, on April 4th. Examples to be demonstrated are available at the Web site http://www.lia.deis.unibo.it/Research/Projects/ SOCS/partners/experimentation/. Copyright c © 2005 by the SOCS Consortium. Deliverable D5: A logic-based approach to model interaction amongst computees

Computees are Computational Logic-based entities interacting in the context of global and open computing environments. The focus of this work is on the interactions among computees that form a society, and on the definition of a Computational Logic-based architecture for computee interactions. We propose a layered architecture where the society defines the allowed interaction protocols, which d...

A logic-based approach to model computees

A computee is an autonomous computational entity that operates in an open and dynamic environment. This report proposes a formal framework for computees, called KGP (Knowledge, Goals, Plan), that synthesises their reasoning and sensing capabilities into a model for their operation. Within this model the computee is able to reason about goals and plans and to execute its plans depending on the s...
